Neogenesis Biotech and Taipei Veterans General Hospital Advance Research on Type 1 Diabetes and Regulatory T Cells (Tregs)

Neogenesis Biotech is deepening its ongoing collaboration with the clinical team at Taipei Veterans General Hospital to jointly plan research on immune cell profiling and regulatory T cells (Tregs) in type 1 diabetes (T1D) and latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA).
The two teams recently held an online research meeting at which they finalized discussions on study design, workflow, participant-related arrangements and budget, and revised the study protocol the same day. Documentation is now being prepared for submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for human research ethics review.
The study plans to enroll 24 participants. Combining the clinical expertise of Taipei Veterans General Hospital with Neogenesis Biotech's immune cell testing and analysis capabilities, it will explore the immune cell characteristics of participants with T1D and LADA, with Treg-related analysis as one of its key focuses.
Neogenesis Biotech's R&D will gradually extend from immune cell testing to Treg cell manufacturing and functional validation. We hope the data gathered through this study will provide a scientific basis for subsequent preclinical research and the future development of cell therapies for clinical trials. Each stage will proceed according to study results and the relevant review requirements.
Once the study is approved by the IRB, enrollment and execution will begin in accordance with the approved protocol. Neogenesis Biotech will continue to deepen its autoimmune disease research through collaboration among industry, academia and medical institutions, and to advance the translational development of immune cell technologies.
This announcement is an update on research planning progress. It is not a call for study participants, nor does it indicate that any cell therapy has been approved or that its efficacy has been established.
